Opportunities without any opportunity contact roles or the contact lookup populated makes the opportunity un-usable. This guide gives you step by step instructions for improving data cleanliness and making easy Salesforce data uploads using adq.
Impact
The lack of contacts on the Opportunity device signifies a significant data quality issue that can hinder effective communication and productivity. You can’t close a deal with someone who doesn’t exist! This limits the effectiveness of your salesforce tool and salesforce data.
Steps to resolution
Determine Approach 🎯
Identify where the contacts can be sourced from for these opportunities. In this example, looking at recent emails with the organization that the opportunity is associated with.
Navigate to an Example 🕴
Click on an opportunity that has this issue. This will be where you prompt the adq assistant to help resolve the problem.
Prompt the Assistant 💬
Prompt the adq assistant on the problem (e.g., “the opportunity has no related contacts in the contact lookup or via the opportunity contact role”) and the solution (e.g., “pull contacts from the related account that we’ve emailed in the last quarter and add them to the opportunity contact role”). Press analyze once the system has been prompted.
Validate Results ✅
Spot check some of the similar records and suggested changes in the editor to ensure that it is returning accurate fixes. If you find any discrepancies, adjust the prompt and try again.
